The VA Medical Center Washington DC will host a Veterans Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at its Washington, DC location in Partnership with the Capital Area Food Pantry. See the flyer below for the time and exact location where the event will be held, the Clinical Research Building 1. Go to the building on the other side of the Emergency Room. Remember: First Come, First Served.

You are invited to attend our April General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 to be held in the Small Conference Room at the Oxon Hill Branch Library, 6200 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745 at 6:45 PM. This is an In Person and Hybrid (via Zoom) meeting. The Executive Committee will meet at 5:45 PM while our General Membership Meeting will begin promptly at 6:45 PM. Therefore, we would like to start and finish our meeting on time as we have to conclude our meeting at 7:45 PM.

• For those attending via Zoom, you can listen in but have no ability to vote or chime in on issues discussed. Hybrid meeting members can email Adjutant Dent at davcso17imd@gmail.com should you have any questions that you want addressed during the meeting. She will read from 1-3 of those questions, if we have time during the Good of the Order section of the meeting.

**Members will have the ability to connect with Chapter Service Officers so that they can set up future meetings concerning claims for benefits with the VA. There will be no claims service done at our chapter meetings due to the limited time that we have to conduct our meeting. No exceptions.

The following members received their certification/recertification as Chapter Service Officers for Chapter 17. Commander Robert Young, Senior Vice Commander David Stevens, Adjutant Inez Dent, Treasurer Brenton Service, Shean Rheams, and PCC Oscar Mardis. Contact one of us individually if you have any questions regarding your VA rating or need to apply for an increase in your rating or have a new condition that you would like to discuss.
