The Chapter is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization which is dedicated to a
single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and
dignity by assisting with their access to the full range of benefits available to
them.
The Chapter’s operations are located at 25 Segar Street, Danbury, Connecticut
which includes a meeting hall and a canteen for members and their guests
known as The Bunker at Danbury DAV Lee Hartell Chapter 25 (collectively
referred to as the “Premises”).
The Chapter is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive environment at
the Premises where any and all officers, members, employees, job applicants
and patrons are treated with respect and dignity. Discrimination of any kind is not
tolerated within our volunteer organization. This Anti-Discrimination Policy
outlines our commitment to promoting equality, preventing discrimination, and
addressing any incidents of discrimination that may occur.
The Chapter complies with any and all discrimination laws that may be applicable

Chapter’s policies, programs, services, activities, practices, terms, privileges,
benefits or conditions of employment.
With regard to members of the Chapter, all requests for aid and assistance are
given equal consideration without regard to whether any individual belongs to, or
is perceived as belonging to, one or more of the above-referenced Protected
Classes. Further, this anti-discrimination policy applies to all activities in which
the Chapter has been engaged, is now engaged, or in any way may be engaged
at any time in the future.
Responsibility to Comply with Policy
All Officers, members, and any employees, patrons or other invitees of the
Chapter are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner that maintains
an environment free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
Corrective Action for Non-Compliance with Policy
The Chapter reserves the right to take any corrective action it deems necessary
with regard to any violation of this policy by any officers, members, employees,
patrons or other invitees on the Premises.
