Women Veterans Committee October Event, 10/17/26

Greetings Comrades and Friends!

WVCOctoberEvent.png

The Women Veterans Committee presents: Your Mind & Body  Matters..Menopause  2.0 (the Good, the Bad, and the Sexy)!"

Menopause introduces profound physiological changes that ripple into a woman's emotional landscape, deeply influencing her relationships and reshaping her mindset.

We are privileged to present  Dr. Rachel Rubin, Dr. Siobhan Kirksey, Nurse Practitioner Helen Hannah and Nurse Practitioner Oyebefun for a candid discussion on the affects of Menopause.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are hosting a vital discussion panel exploring the diverse experiences of diagnosis, treatment, and survival. Because breast cancer affects individuals regardless of gender, this panel brings together two distinct and powerful perspectives on survivorship:

Mrs. Eunice Bowling – Sharing her journey through diagnosis, treatment, the unique challenges faced by female survivors and how she has become an advocate.

Mr. Patrick Jenkins – Shedding light on the often-overlooked reality of male breast cancer, breaking stigmas, and sharing his personal path to recovery.

October 17, 2026
Surratts-Clinton Library
11 AM - 2 PM

The event is free and open to the public.

Yours in Comradeship,

Marguerite Stubbs
