Want to Help Fellow Veterans? Become a Chapter Service Officer!

Chapter Service Officers (CSOs) work with the Department Service Officers (DSOs) and the National Service Officers (NSOs) to help local Veterans gain access to essential support programs and vital VA benefits. CSOs are certified annually by the Department of Maine National Service Officers. This year's training will take place on Thursday, 23 April 2025, from 9 am - 12:30 pm at the Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River, 97 Summit Road, Newry, Maine. Contact your chapter's commander or adjutant to register.

Come Celebrate the DAV Department of Maine's 51th Annual Convention
The DAV Department of Maine will host its 51th Annual Convention on 23-25 April 2026, at the Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River, 97 Summit Road, Newry ME. All Department of Maine DAV members are welcome to attend. Scheduled events include a POW/MIA Memorial Ceremony, a Veterans Benefits Panel Discussion, and a MyDAV.org Account overview. Please contact your Chapter Commander or Adjutant for more details.
Join Maine's Driving Force - The DAV Transportation Network!
The DAV Transportation Network is looking for drivers to fill their Sanford, Down East, Rumford and Aroostoock County routes, providing rides to the Togus VA Medical Facility for local Veterans. You don't need to be a Veteran. You just need to have the desire to help Maine Veterans, while traveling through our beautiful state. DAV has recently replaced two 2011 E-350 vans with two Ford Explorers. With this upgrade to our fleet, "Maine's Driving Force" of volunteer drivers continues to provide safe, reliable (and stylish!) rides to the men and women who served. Become a DAV Driver! Go to: https://www.facebook.com/DAVVTN to learn how!New DAV Ford Explorer.jpg
