Greetings, DAV Chapters and DAVA Auxiliary Units.

The DAV Department of Maryland, in conjunction with DAV/DAVA Chapter 13 in Severn, MD, invites you to our Family Affair Cookout on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at American Legion Post 276, 8068 Quarterfield Rd., Severn, MD 21144. Please join us for an enjoyable day of great food, refreshing drinks, and fun activities for kids!

All DAV and DAV Auxiliary members, along with their families and friends, are welcome to attend. To help the committee plan, please RSVP by August 15, 2026, to dav_hq@davofmd.org.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITY - Out-of-Cycle CSO Training, 9/22

The Baltimore NSO office will host a CSO class on September 22, 2026, at the War Memorial Building, 101 N. Gay St., Baltimore, MD 21202, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. I have attached the nomination forms for the commander and adjutant for completion and submission to the NSO office at craig.barnes3@va.gov as soon as possible.

Department Executive Committee (DEC) Meeting Locations Announced

1st Quarter - October 10, 2026 - War Memorial Building, 101 N. Gay Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.

- Department staff meeting will commence at 10:00 am

- The DEC meeting will start promptly at 11:00 am

- Lunch will be provided at 12:00 pm

**Additionally, we will hold our traditional 50/50 raffle, so bring plenty of cash!**
